Our History

The Smith and Jones Antique Auto Parts Company was formed in June of 1972 by Gary Smith and Harold Jones. Gary had enjoyed restoring his Model T Ford and both wanted to provide nearby restorers a local source for ordering antique auto parts. The business evolved from part-time to full-time with a full line of Model A parts and Model T parts for cars ranging from 1909 through 1931. A catalog of our antique auto parts, now containing 142 pages, was developed which brought about a much larger customer base and resulted in orders from around the world. Be sure to order yours from this site or give us a call and we will get one out to you.

We are also proud to be the home of the Model A & Model T Swap Meet sponsored by Palmetto A's of South Carolina!  This year will be the fifth swap meet at our facility. During this fun event, you shop for parts in our showroom and from other vendors at the meet. You can also view Model A's on display. If you are looking for something in particular, be sure to call (803-822-4141) at least a week in advance to make sure we have what you need in stock. If you give us enough time before the show, we will be able to order it for you. Don't forget to stay for the home made Ice Cream!
